With over 75 different restaurants participating in Restaurant Week Grand Rapids this year, it can be almost overwhelming to pick which places to experience. Each place is offering different meal deals and there is a great variety of cuisines this year. So just how do you choose?
My Michigan’s Best partner John Gonzalez and I decided to each make a list of the top ten restaurants we were most looking forward to trying during Restaurant Week. Surprisingly, our lists are pretty different.
My picks are all over the board, with different reasons for each pick. I love a great deal, and a few of these places are offering 4 or 5 course meals at a great price. A few places I’ve been dying to try, but just haven’t made it out yet, so this is my chance. One is a Michigan’s Best pick that I haven’t gotten to visit again since our search and am looking forward to indulging in their delicious food and lovely hospitality. All have menus that sounded creative, interesting and maybe something different than their regular menu.
Below are both of our top ten picks, followed by polls so you can vote on which restaurants you think we should visit this week. We’ll visit the winners of each poll and give you a full report on our experience.
Please fill out the form below and vote.

We encourage you to go out to eat this week in Grand Rapids. The restaurant scene is growing and changing all the time, and Restaurant Week is a great chance to try something new, visit an old favorite, or taste something completely different.
Vander Mill is offering a Chef’s Choice menu, with three courses, including cider pairings, for $35. That is a great deal for a three course dinner with drinks. And while you might not be used to pairing cider with food, the menu itself is totally approachable. There is a great little patio to eat on at Vander Mill’s, and if its nice out, they’ll have the garage doors open to enjoy the weather.
